Join us for a volunteer day!
Volunteer days are a great way to give back, meet other members of the community who enjoy volunteering and gardening, and experience the therapeutic effects of spending time in nature. No prior gardening experience is needed to participate, and everyone over the age of 18 is welcome regardless of your affiliation with UC Davis.
Event details
Our Second Saturday Community Volunteer Day will take place from 9:00 to 11:30 a.m. on Sat., Oct. 10. Volunteers will prune plants growing into pathways, pull weeds, spread mulch and make the most of the mild fall weather by adding new plants.
Meeting Location
We will be meeting at the Redbud Collection, located on the north side of the Arboretum waterway, immediately east of the La Rue Bridge. Parking is free on the weekends and the closest parking lot is Lot 46. Bicycle parking is available next to the Earth and Physical Sciences building.
